Established in 2012, Cartime is one of the UK’s fastest growing used car dealerships. The last 12 months have seen record breaking results and were now looking for dynamic and enthusiastic people to join our team.

We specialise in providing prestige, cars from all makes and models, including brands such as Audi, BMW, Range Rover, Mercedes and Jaguar. With three showrooms located across Northwest England, we boast the largest 4x4 Centre in the North-West, and have further expansion planned.

We have a strong approach to customer service and thanks to our rapid growth, are looking for Vehicle Technician to join our growing team in the Bury and Nelson area of Manchester.

The Role of our Technician:

Perform repairs, servicing, and mechanical work from routine maintenance to complex repairs
Diagnose faults using advanced diagnostic tools and methods
Ascertain parts required to resolve the issue
Conduct road tests and report findings accurately
Ensure all work meets “right first time” standards
Accurately log job times, parts used, and technician notes
Adhere to Health & Safety standards at all times
Deliver an agreed level of service KPI’s Skills

What you’ll need as our Technician:

Applicants should hold a recognised qualification, such as a Level 3 Diploma or City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent ).
min. 4 years previous experience of a similar position.
Full UK Driving Licence (preferably clean).
Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles.
Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.
Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protection against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
The ability to work as part of a strong and well-established team.

We are committed to developing our team. If you are currently a Level 2 qualified technician, we can offer development programme to support you in achieving Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance Technician status.

Working Hours
The role offers an average of 42 hours per week, working Monday to Friday with a 1-hour unpaid break each day.

You will also be required to work alternate Sundays, and occasional Saturday or Sunday shifts may be required depending on business needs.

Salary: £30,250 – £33,750 per annum (depending on experience)
Bonus: Discretionary bonus, subject to individual and company performance; not guaranteed.
On-target earnings: Up to approximately £36,750 per annum, inclusive of potential bonus.
