Warehouse Manager - Full Time

AFC Europe, Junction 19 Industrial Estate, Heywood, OL10 1NB

AFC Industries Company is part of a fast-growing, global supply chain services group distributing a wide range of engineering fastener components to manufacturing industries ranging from medical and electronics equipment to motorsports and aerospace applications.

We have a strong reputation for delivering high-performing inventory solutions, known as VMI or Kanban systems, to solve customer challenges to have the right products at the right time in their production cycle. We take all their sourcing, purchasing, stocking and component management pain away to focus on making and selling products.

Main Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Manager will have a key role within the Heywood warehouse team; the role will include, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:

· Management of warehouse staff

· Motivate team through personal leadership and communication

· Training and personal development for team members

· Hands on (picking & packing)

· Being proactive

· Work to 5S requirements and adherence to best practice requirements

· Work closely with Logistics and QA department

· Management of AFC stock control systems

· Adhere to Health and Safety objectives

· Continuous improvement and meeting KPI objectives

Key Skills

· Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines

· Good communicator

· Good attention to detail

· Computer literate with experience in MS Outlook, word and Excel

· Friendly personality and team player

· Strong organisational skills

· Enthusiastic, determined and committed, with a willingness to go the extra mile

· Self-motivated with high degree of initiative, being capable of working without supervision

· Must have Warehouse Management experience

· Strong work ethic and ability to achieve KPI’s

· Fastener or similar product experience would be preferable
