Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver excellent service. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience within a professional culinary setting, ideal for individuals interested in developing their skills in food preparation, cooking, and hospitality. there will be tips on top of wages as a bonus

Responsibilities

Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure cleanliness standards are met
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team
Maintaining a clean and organised work area, including sweeping and mopping floors
Supporting the storage of ingredients and supplies in accordance with health and safety regulations
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
Ensuring all health and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times
Supporting the overall smooth operation of the kitchen during service periods

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential
Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques is desirable
Strong organisational skills with an eye for cleanliness and hygiene standards
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good teamwork and communication skills
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
A positive attitude and willingness to learn about culinary practices and hospitality operations

Pay: £12.71 per hour
