Full job description

We are looking for a Senior Site Manager to join our team on a project at Isle of Wight College. This is a key site‑based leadership role, responsible for driving the successful delivery of works within a live education environment.

You will play a central role in managing site operations, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while maintaining a positive and well‑organised project environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading day‑to‑day site operations to ensure safe and effective project delivery
Managing and supporting Site Managers, supervisors and subcontractors
Coordinating trades and activities to meet programme requirements
Ensuring health, safety and environmental standards are consistently upheld
Driving quality across all aspects of delivery and ensuring compliance with specifications
Managing site logistics and working effectively within a live campus environment
Supporting programme delivery, identifying risks and resolving issues proactively
Maintaining strong communication with the project team, stakeholders and end users

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager within construction
Experience delivering projects in live environments (education or similar settings beneficial)
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and drive performance
Excellent understanding of health & safety, quality and site processes
Ability to manage programme pressures and coordinate multiple trades
A proactive, organised and solutions‑focused approach
Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS and CSCS are desirable
