Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Butcher to join our family run butchers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and possess a strong understanding of meat preparation and food safety standards. The position is suitable for individuals with prior experience in butchery/meat cutting but job specific training will be provided.

Responsibilities, Skills and Duties

Prepare and cut meat products in accordance with company standards and customer requirements
Be able to follow precise specifications to create our extensive " Ready to Cook" Meal range, mix and match meat packs ,christmas hampers and catering orders for restaurants
Ensure all meat is handled, stored, and displayed following food safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butchery area at all times
Follow health and safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards customer service
Previous butchery/meat cutting experience is essential
Competent knife skills are required
Carcass knowledge preferred but not essential
Operating tills and cash handling
Serving customers and maintaining high levels of customer service
Following daily cleaning schedules
Candidates will be expected to work extra hours to cover holidays and busy periods

Pay: £13.50 per hour
