Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients with care and precision, ensuring a comfortable experience for patients while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene. Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture or capillary techniques with accuracy and care.

Maintain strict adherence to health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures.
Record patient information accurately using IT systems, ensuring data confidentiality at all times.
Assist in the organisation of sample collection schedules and manage documentation efficiently.
Provide support to healthcare professionals by preparing necessary equipment and supplies for blood collection.
Ensure the cleanliness and sterilisation of all equipment used during procedures.

Qualifications

Proven communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly and empathetically.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, to ensure effective communication with patients and team members.
Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and documentation efficiently.
Experience or background in healthcare, particularly in phlebotomy or related fields, is essential.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors in sample collection and record keeping.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and compassion towards patients.
A recognised qualification in phlebotomy is essential.
