We’re on the lookout for a fun, passionate, and driven Sports Coach to join our growing JAG family. As part of the UK’s leading provider of wraparound childcare, you’ll deliver exciting sports and activity sessions across our Breakfast, After School, and Holiday Clubs — all in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

This adventure is all about building brighter futures together. You’ll lead engaging coaching sessions, nurture confidence and teamwork, and inspire every child to stay active and believe in themselves.

Job Description

Location: Biggleswade Academy
Hours: 07.30-18.00 Monday to Friday during school holidays (shifts allocated on rota basis)
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour (plus holiday pay)
Contract: Casual contract

What you’ll do day-to-day:

Be every child’s hero by planning, creating, and delivering industry-leading coaching sessions that embody JAG’s whole-child philosophy.
Assess children’s performance, identify strengths and areas for development, and adapt sessions to meet varied needs and abilities.
Use age-appropriate communication and demonstration techniques to make learning fun and easy to follow.
Encourage children to gain and develop skills, knowledge, and confidence — all while maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Ensure every child feels welcome, included, and valued during each session.
Complete daily sign-in/out, maintain records, and follow all JAG safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
Communicate positively with parents, schools, and your team to create meaningful connections and shared success.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

You’re a natural motivator with a can-do attitude and a passion for working with children aged 4–11.
You hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Sports Coaching or PE, and are confident leading sports sessions or clubs.
You’re creative, adaptable, and able to think on your feet.
You have great communication skills and can explain and demonstrate activities clearly.
You’re reliable, positive, and thrive in a fast-paced, fun environment.
You genuinely care about helping children learn, grow, and succeed.

Additional Information

Safeguarding

This role requires compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
You must provide two references – one from your most recent employer and another from a childcare setting (if applicable).
An Enhanced DBS check will be carried out as part of the hiring process.
