Full job description

The Kitchen assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen operations of a country pub. Working under the guidance of the Head Chef, the Assistant Cook assists in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring the highest quality of food is delivered to customers. The Assistant Cook also helps maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.

Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older.
Previous kitchen experience is required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of working in a kitchen, including food preparation and assisting chefs.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety procedures.
Willingness to assist with food preparation, cleaning, pot wash and maintaining kitchen standards.

You will be expected to work a mixture of shifts but must be avaliable to work some weekend shifts.

Our kitchen serves food from 12-3pm and 6-9pm Wed-Fri, 12-9pm Saturdays and 12- 6pm on Sundays so flexibility is essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £13.00-£16.00 per hour
