Full job description

We are seeking a (part time) office assistant to join our team in our Cambridge or London office to assist with essential administrative support.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy and fast paced office environment, will be highly organised and be able to prioritise multiple tasks accordingly. Have the ability to work within a team and individually.

They will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. The role will include dealing with new telephone. Dealing with existing clients and third parties in a professional manner.

The candidate would also be involved in liaising with hospitals, arranging hearing dates and assisting in maintaining the firms central diary.

They will have experience of case management systems, opening legal files, keeping files up to date and in line with Solicitor Regulation Authority’s (SRA) standards.

Admin experience is required and experience of working in mental health law and/or of legal aid work is preferred.

We would also be interested in receiving applications from law graduates who are looking to specialise in mental health law with a view to progressing to a paralegal role.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

- Strong organisational skills to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
