Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate Commis Chef to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in food preparation and kitchen operations, supporting the senior chefs to deliver exceptional dining experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills, gain valuable kitchen experience, and grow within a dynamic restaurant environment. Your enthusiasm for food, teamwork, and commitment to food safety will be essential to your success.

Duties

Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior chefs, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation
Support daily kitchen operations, including ingredient handling, portioning, and plating
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
Contribute to the development of new dishes and menu items by providing creative input
Focus on collaborative and efficient work environment
Ensure all food production processes adhere to health and safety standards
Serve as a reliable team player by assisting with various kitchen tasks during busy service periods
Take pride in delivering high quality and excellent presentation dishes

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen is mandatory, enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety practices
Demonstrated understanding of food safety standards and hygiene protocols
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards serving guests and supporting team members
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
A genuine passion for culinary arts and hospitality with an eagerness to develop your skills further

Pay: £16.71 per hour
