Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong organisational abilities, and exceptional communication to ensure customer satisfaction. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on punctuality and service excellence.

Duties

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines
Load and unload goods, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring items are secure during transit
Collect signatures or proof of delivery from recipients as required
Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or any unforeseen delays
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle at all times

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred
Valid driver’s licence, ideally with a <PERSON> driver qualification or equivalent
Experience in commercial driving environments is advantageous
Familiarity with warehouse procedures and logistics operations is beneficial
Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
