Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team and gather costs from plans, surveys and other means. As an Estimator, you will play a vital role in preparing accurate costs for signing off, analysing project specifications, and ensuring queries are answered on tenders. You will help the team deliver competitive prices for our team and report to our estimating manager. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work to develop comprehensive estimates.
Gather and analyse quotes, labour rates and subcontractor costs.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for new projects, ensuring accuracy
Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, including scope clarification and risk assessment
Maintain organised records of all estimate documentation for future reference and update our CRM system

Experience

No prior experience is needed but adventagious
Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices in project estimation
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members
Ability to work under deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

Pay: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
