Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Bread Baker/Pastry Chef to join our team at Frankley's Bakery located inside of The Wheelbarrow ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and baking bread with a keen eye for detail and a dedication to delivering high-quality Artisan breads & pastries . This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft artisanal bread and exquisite pastries in a professional kitchen environment, contributing to the overall dining experience of our establishments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assist in the development of new baked products, experimenting with flavours and techniques
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food preparation and handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery area, including equipment and work surfaces
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure consistency and excellence in every product
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet production deadlines and optimise workflow
- Manage ingredient inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations
Experience
- Proven experience in food production, specialising in baking or pastry arts
- Demonstrable skills in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a professional setting
- Previous experience working in a bakery, restaurant, or similar culinary environment is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
- Familiarity with culinary techniques related to baking, pastry creation, and presentation
- Prior experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
