Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Roofing Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting with various roofing projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills in roofing and construction while contributing to the creation of durable, high-quality roofs. The ideal candidate is energetic, eager to learn, and ready to take on physically demanding tasks with a positive attitude.

Duties

Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing materials
Carry heavy materials such as shingles, metal sheets, and insulation to designated areas
Operate welding equipment when necessary for metal roofing components or structural supports
Support carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or fabrication tasks as needed on-site
Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols and guidelines

Skills

Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and saws
Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively in a construction environment
Prior construction experience is highly desirable, especially in roofing or related fields
Knowledge of roofing materials, installation methods, and safety standards
Basic understanding of plumbing, masonry, carpentry or fabrication is a plus
Physically capable of heavy lifting and working at heights for extended periods
