Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Salesperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant retail environment, engaging with diverse customers and supporting the organisation’s sales objectives. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their retail expertise and contribute to a positive shopping experience. Weekend and bank holiday hours will be required on a rota basis.

Duties

Assist customers in selecting products, providing expert advice and personalised recommendations
Engage in upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
Maintain visual merchandising standards to create an appealing shopping environment
Operate point-of-sale systems efficiently, handling transactions accurately and processing payments
Ensure the store remains tidy and well-presented
Communicate effectively with team members and customers
Demonstrate organisational skills by managing multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
Travelling between stores located in Dinnington and Retford will be required to maintain staff cover, therefore a driving licence is required along with access to your own vehicle.

Ability to upsell products tactfully while maintaining excellent customer relations
Basic maths skills for handling transactions
Organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively
Knowledge of merchandising principles to optimise product displays and store layout
