ConeMasters Limited specialises in providing temporary traffic management and related highway services across The UK. Operating 24/7 throughout the year, we are committed to safety, reliability, and excellence in service delivery.

Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable LGV/ HGV Technician, on a part time basis (Any 2 days per week). This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-maintained fleet operation where quality, safety, and teamwork are valued.

To be successful in this role you will be a good communicator able to influence at all levels, be highly organised and driven to achieve high levels of customer and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned maintenance inspections (PMIs) in line with DVSA standards
Diagnose and repair vehicle defects efficiently
Complete defect repairs to a high standard i.e. engine replacements, head gasket repairs skimming etc
Prepare vehicles for MOT testing, ensuring full compliance
Maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance, and repairs
Identify and report any additional faults or potential issues
Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
Minimise vehicle downtime through efficient working practices

Requirements

Proven experience as an LGV fitter/ Technician, or similar role
Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair
Familiarity with DVSA regulations and MOT preparation standards
Ability to diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and manual inspection
Experience working with a mixed fleet (e.g. vans, lorries, trailers, tower lights etc)

Job Type: Part time (1-3 days per week, you chose days that work for you).
