Role and Responsibilities: As an Apprentice Hair Stylist, you will have the unique opportunity to learn and contribute to various aspects of our salon operations, including:
- Assisting stylists with various hair services, such as cutting, coloring, and styling.
- Greeting and attending to clients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ensuring clients are comfortable and offering refreshments.
- Shampooing, conditioning, and preparing clients' hair for treatments.
- Keeping the salon clean, organised, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Learning and applying hair care techniques, including blow-drying, curling, and colouring. Working towards an NVQ 2.
- Observing and actively participating in client consultations to understand their needs and preferences.
- Keeping up with industry trends and new techniques to continuously improve your skills.
- Attending training sessions and workshops to enhance your knowledge and abilities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Passion for hairstyling and a strong desire to build a career in the hair and beauty industry.
- GCSEs or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn from experienced stylists.
- Strong attention to detail and a creative mindset.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- No prior experience required; we welcome individuals with a genuine interest in hairdressing.
