As Regional Commercial Director, you'll have the opportunity to:

Shape the commercial direction of a growing region.

Build strong partnerships across operational, bid and delivery teams.

What will you be doing?

You'll be responsible for setting and delivering the regional commercial strategy, ensuring effective governance, managing risk and maximising performance across our project portfolio.

You'll:

Support and inspire the regional commercial team, creating an environment where people can develop and thrive.
Provide strategic commercial guidance to the Regional Managing Director and wider leadership team.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability while effectively managing risk.
Support work-winning activities, commercial strategy and contract negotiations.
Foster strong collaboration between commercial, operational and bid teams.
Ensure robust governance, reporting and compliance across the region.
Help shape the future of commercial excellence within Wates Residential.

What are we looking for?

Experience leading commercial teams within construction, residential development or contracting.
Strong commercial, contractual and risk management expertise.
A track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving business performance.
Experience supporting major bids, procurement activities and contract negotiations.
A collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing others.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
