Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Inter Fresh Produce Ltd, Unit 7, Site 24, Brunthill Road, Kingstown Industrial Estate, Carlisle, CA3 0EH
Salary: From £14.00 per hour depending on experience
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We are looking for an organised, reliable and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in the smooth running of our busy warehouse operation.
Inter Fresh is a quality supplier of fresh, dairy and ambient products to the food service sector throughout Cumbria and south Scotland. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, takes pride in getting things right and has the leadership skills to motivate, support and organise a team.
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the warehouse, ensuring that orders are picked accurately, products are handled and stored correctly, vehicles are loaded efficiently, and deliveries leave on time. You will play an important role in maintaining high standards of stock control, product quality, cleanliness, health & safety and overall operational efficiency.
The role will involve working closely with our warehouse and night-shift teams, drivers, sales team, management and suppliers to ensure the smooth flow of orders from the warehouse through to our customers. You will need to be confident communicating with colleagues, identifying and resolving issues, and making decisions to keep the operation running efficiently, particularly during busy periods.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organised and able to lead by example, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. You should be comfortable managing a busy workload, prioritising tasks and ensuring that important deadlines are consistently met.
As we supply a wide range of fresh, dairy and ambient products, quality, accuracy, correct storage and timing are particularly important. The successful candidate will take pride in ensuring that customers receive the correct products, in excellent condition and on time, while maintaining appropriate standards across all areas of the warehouse.
The role will typically start at 4:00am, so the successful candidate must be comfortable with early morning starts and working as part of a team to ensure the warehouse and delivery operation is ready for the day ahead.
This is a key role within our operation and would suit someone who enjoys taking responsibility, working as part of a team and helping to maintain high standards across the warehouse.
