Together in Mind is a newly established charity founded by Clinical Psychologists dedicated to promoting the wellbeing, safety and long-term development of children, families and communities. Together in Mind supports children, young people, parents, caregivers and the professional systems around them through psychologically responsive and relationship-based approaches. The Job Role:
Place of work: Hybrid working within Dundee, (outreach working will be a key requirement of the role). This is a Project Manager role within the already established Together to Thrive project running within Dundee. Together in Mind has recently taken over as the Host of this project. The role will include leading the implementation of Together to Thrive, a targeted programme for at-risk families, children and young people. The programme uses a task-sharing model to provide timely, evidence-informed support that is responsive to the needs of the local community.
Together to Thrive aims to deliver transformational change in how support is delivered to families. This includes the provision of support for parents of children (5 to 11) with neurodevelopmental concerns who are currently waiting for a neurodevelopmental assessment or identified via schools as having emerging neurodevelopmental differences, with the overall aim of providing early support and preventing escalation of children onto CAMHS waiting list where not required.
The postholder will draw upon the expertise from within Together in Mind, local families and community partners. Community partners include NHS Tayside Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), social work, education, and community-based organisations. The post holder will be expected to build relationships with new partners, identify key areas for future development and opportunities to embed the Together to Thrive model. The post holder will work closely with the Together in Mind Directors and wider programmes team to deliver a community-based intervention that enables families at greatest risk of poor mental health to receive timely psychosocial, preventative support through a sustainable, community-based delivery model. They will do this whilst ensuring the delivery model meets the strategic aims of the ‘Connected Tayside Strategy’, ‘The Promise’, and the Scottish Government Strategy ‘The Right Help at the Right Time in The Right Place’.
This next one year phase has been funded by the Whole Family Wellbeing Fund.
The role involves a mixture of:
- home working
- office/base working in Dundee
- community delivery across Dundee and Tayside

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The post holder will:
- Manage relationships with key partners to support delivery of a dynamic and collaborative approach to supporting families.
- Work collaboratively with the operational which includes staff from Together in Mind, NHS Tayside and other community partners.
- Support development, delivery and evaluation of training and coaching sessions with partners with a view to deliver a sustainable model that aligns to the goals of the Whole Family Wellbeing Fund.
- Ensure programme activity is in alignment with policy and standards for practice.
- Facilitate key programme activities, including but not limited to;
- The coproduction of and delivery of a task sharing model of practice to enhance the mental health and wellbeing of children and families in collaboration with community providers
- Delivery of capacity building training and support and coaching sessions with training cohorts.
- Supporting innovation in the development of sustainable and scalable models for peer mentoring and support for parents.
- Contribute to and oversee the design of materials and resources that support programme development, and delivery
- Contribute to the ongoing evaluation of the project, produce reports and publications at key stages of the programme delivery
- Where possible, promote and support coproduction with families, children and young people
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and key partners, with a focus on representing the voice and interests of families, children, young people and providers.
Operational:
- Utilise project planning tools and templates to ensure efficient and timely implementation of project deliverables as outlined in the programme workplan.
- Contribute to the design and development of high-quality materials for programmes, ensuring alignment with relevant policy and standards for practice.
- Effectively manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders across Dundee.

- Embed robust research and evaluation methodologies across the programme that will enable Together in Mind and partners to understand and demonstrate the impact of the delivery model.

Communication/Liaison:
- Collate data and feedback to inform reports to the steering group and other publications (including blogs/social reels/ podcasts etc)
- Host and facilitate learning events and promote knowledge exchange
- Work closely with external stakeholders, develop relationships and contribute to multi agency working groups
- To participate in workload management and reflective practice sessions with Together in Mind Directors.

- Degree or equivalent qualification or demonstrable project management experience
- Evidenced understanding of risk and protective factors that commonly impact mental health of families, children and young people
- Demonstrable knowledge of peer led models.
- Proven understanding of policy drivers within Scotland that relate to public and child mental health.
- Understanding of data safety requirements and how to maintain appropriate data sharing solutions within partnership working.
