Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of our operations. The position offers an opportunity to utilise a diverse set of technical skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery and facilities to prevent breakdowns
Repair and replace faulty components using welding, electrical, and mechanical skills
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues
Programme and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimise equipment performance
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
Supervise junior team members or contractors during maintenance tasks when required
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all maintenance activities
Assist in the development of preventative maintenance schedules and procedures
Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to repair requests from internal departments

Qualifications

Proven experience in maintenance roles with strong mechanical knowledge
Proficiency in working with schematics, electrical systems, and PLC programming
Skilled in welding and basic electrical repairs
Knowledge of industrial equipment, machinery, and safety standards
Previous supervisory or leadership experience is desirable
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and task management

This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a solid background in maintenance, who enjoys problem-solving and leading by example. The position provides an engaging environment where technical expertise is valued, fostering professional growth within the organisation.

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
