Power Logistics is a global leader in the provision of temporary events power with headquarters in the UK and offices in the Netherlands and Ireland. We have consistently delivered practical expertise in stage power, site electrics, distribution, project management and lighting at concerts, festivals, exhibitions, conferences, parties, award ceremonies and sporting events. Our logistical and electrical safety records are exemplary.

With our increasing stock of equipment and growing project portfolio, Power Logistics are now looking to grow their Logistics Team, who play a key role in sorting and packing a diverse range of equipment, allowing Power Logistics to effectively supply power to high profile events such as Olympic and Commonwealth Games Ceremonies, Extreme E racing series, BST Hyde Park, Platinum Jubilee and many other of the UK’s largest festivals and sporting events.

About the role:

As Yard Operative, your role will be to support the Equipment Manager and the rest of the Logistics Team with the organisation, cleaning and packing of temporary power equipment such as cabling and lighting. You will be required to work in all weathers and operate outside of normal working hours, which may include weekends to ensure equipment picking deadlines are met. The role will be fast paced and involve a high level of manual labour.

Your main responsibilities will include:

· Ensure all cable, distribution boxes, cable ramp and equipment is picked meeting Power Logistics’ high standards

· Operate using a tablet and digital stock management system

· Visually check assets at point of check in and out for signs of damage

· Loading and unloading of trucks

· Cleaning of cable and equipment

· Sorting equipment for the electrical team during testing and inspection periods

· Maintain a safe and clean work area

· Adhere to Power Logistics H&S procedures at all times

· Support in other areas of engineering, when required

· Work both inside and outdoors

About You

· Right to work within the UK

· Willing to work extra hours outside of 9am - 5pm

· Commitment and willingness to learn and to improve

· Good housekeeping

· Reliable

· To be flexible and adaptable to your approach to work

· Ability to work both on your own and as part of a team

· Driven and self-motivated

· Strong communication skills

· Awareness of environmental impact

· Full clean driving licence

· Counterbalance forklift license desirable but not essential as training can be given

· Experience working within event power, lighting or theatre equipment warehouse and distribution desirable but training can be given
