About the role

Balfour Beatty is looking for an experienced Foreman – Overhead Lines (OHL) to support increasing demand across our Power Transmission & Distribution projects.

This role will see you leading site-based OHL operations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of high voltage overhead power transmission works across multiple locations uk wide

What you'll be doing

Lead a small team of 4–6 OHL Technicians, ensuring safe and effective delivery of works
Supervise day-to-day site activities including installation, maintenance and refurbishment of overhead power lines
Plan and allocate work, ensuring teams are briefed on tasks, risks and safety precautions
Drive high standards of health, safety, quality and productivity at all times
Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and ensure compliance with safe systems of work
Liaise with Site Engineers, other Foremen and project teams to coordinate activities and maintain progress
Ensure materials, plant and equipment are available and used efficiently
Report and support investigation of any incidents or near misses
Act as a competent person, interpreting permits, RAMS and ensuring safe working practices

Who we're looking for

Proven experience working within Overhead Lines (OHL) or the power transmission sector
Strong supervisory or foreman experience leading small teams
Ability to work safely in high-pressure, site-based environments
Good communication and leadership skills
Full UK driving licence
Flexibility to travel and work across England & Wales

Desirable:

OHL authorisations and plant tickets
First Aid certification
Strong knowledge of power transmission construction activities
