About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Guest & Property Operations Assistant to join our growing team. This is an exciting, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day operation of Crabbers Wharf, a luxury waterfront holiday cabin development, while also providing administrative support for the residential and commercial property portfolio managed by Nemesis Properties.
This is a varied hybrid position that combines guest services, operational coordination, property administration and on-site support. No two days are the same, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving problems and delivering exceptional customer service.
Working closely with the Property Manager, Housekeeping and Maintenance teams, you will play a key role in ensuring our holiday guests receive an outstanding experience while helping to coordinate the smooth running of our property lettings operation. As the business continues to grow, there will be opportunities for the successful candidate to develop and progress within the role.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Saturdays: 10am – 2:00pm (on a rota basis)
- Participation in the out-of-hours on-call rota is required.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Act as the first point of contact for guests, visitors and enquiries at the Tourist Information Centre.
- Welcome arriving guests and assist with check-ins and departures.
- Handle telephone calls, emails and guest enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Resolve guest issues promptly to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- Support guest activities, including the use of site facilities such as kayaks and the pontoon.
Operations & Site Coordination
- Coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping and maintenance teams.
- Assist with rota planning, staffing coordination and operational scheduling.
- Carry out equipment, stock and supply checks.
- Monitor bookings, arrivals, departures and daily operational activity.
- Provide on-site operational support across the development.
- Coordinate contractor visits and site access.
- Maintain a visible and approachable presence throughout the site.
- Identify, report and escalate any maintenance, health and safety or operational concerns.
Property Administration
- Provide administrative support for the management of holiday and residential rental properties.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure company systems are kept up to date.
- Monitor emails and communications, ensuring enquiries are responded to promptly.
- Assist with payroll preparation, basic accounting tasks and operational reporting.
- Ensure issues are logged, tracked and followed through to completion.
On-Call Responsibilities
As part of the role, you will participate in the business's out-of-hours on-call rota.
This includes:
- Carrying the on-call phone during your allocated rota periods.
- Responding to guest or property-related issues outside normal working hours.
- Attending site when required to resolve urgent operational matters.
Participation in the on-call rota forms part of the overall role and remuneration package.
Essential Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience within hospitality, customer service, administration or operational roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, flexible and positive approach to work.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
- Confidence in dealing with a wide range of people, including guests, members of the public, contractors, housekeeping staff and senior management.
- Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- The ability to remain calm, professional and solution-focused under pressure.
- A full UK driving licence.
Desirable Skills
It would be advantageous if you have experience in:
- Holiday lets, property management or the leisure industry.
- Staff rota planning and scheduling.
- Basic accounting or payroll administration.
- Property management or booking systems.
