Performing Arts Teacher – Saturday Mornings
Location: Langley Park School for Girls, Beckenham, BR3 3BE
Hours: Saturday mornings during term time, approximately 9:30am to 1:00pm
Start date: September 2026
Pay: Dependent on experience
Jigsaw Performing Arts Bromley & Beckenham is looking for passionate, engaging and well-rounded performing arts teachers to join our new school when it opens this September.
We are particularly interested in teachers with strong experience in dance and musical theatre who can deliver exciting, high-energy and age-appropriate sessions for children and young people aged 3 to 18.
About Jigsaw Performing Arts
Jigsaw Performing Arts provides inclusive and structured performing arts classes for children and young people aged 3 to 18. Through drama, singing and dance, our classes help students develop confidence, creativity, communication skills and a lifelong enjoyment of the performing arts.
For more than 30 years, Jigsaw has created supportive spaces where every child is seen, heard and encouraged to reach their potential. Our classes are taught in small, age-appropriate groups and focus on personal development, teamwork and self-expression alongside performance skills.
Jigsaw Performing Arts Bromley & Beckenham is a brand-new school opening at Langley Park School for Girls. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team from the very beginning and help create a positive, welcoming and inspiring environment for our students.
The Role
Depending on your experience and specialism, you may teach children aged 3 to 6, students aged 7 to 18, or a combination of age groups.
You will plan and deliver engaging sessions in drama, singing and dance, while supporting each student’s confidence, creativity and individual development.
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
- Has a genuine passion for performing arts and working with children
- Is confident teaching one or more disciplines, including drama, singing, dance or combined musical theatre
- Can create exciting, engaging and high-energy classes
- Is warm, encouraging and able to build positive relationships with students
- Is reliable, organised and committed
- Works well as part of a supportive team
- Can adapt their teaching for different ages, abilities and confidence levels
- Has relevant teaching, training or professional performing arts experience
Previous experience working with children is highly desirable. Applicants must be willing to complete the relevant safeguarding and DBS checks.
Availability
Please only apply if you are consistently available during term time on Saturday mornings between approximately 9:30am and 1:00pm.
