General Manager — JRC Cardiff Centre + DaiU

Under new management and a newly appointed executive board.
Location: Units 1–4, Stadium Plaza, Wood St, Cardiff CF10 1LA
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum (inclusive of weekly bonuses)
Contract: Full-time, permanent

JRC Cardiff Centre + DaiU is reopening in Cardiff Centre under new management and a newly appointed executive board. We are seeking an experienced General Manager with a genuine passion for hospitality to lead the new team and cultivate a hardworking positive work environment. The role assumes full responsibility for managing and communications between different departments including: operations, restaurant staff and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership of daily operations across front of house and back of house while developing and training the FOH and BOH management teams
Assume accountability for the restaurant's operational standards, guest experience, and commercial performance
Recruit, build, train, and retain a high-performing team, fostering a culture of encouragement and strong work ethic
Ensure rigorous and continuous compliance with all health & safety, food safety and fire safety standards and legislation
Create a team that remains calm and decisive during high-volume services, event days, and periods of operational pressure
Represent the JRC Cardiff Centre + DaiU brand positively and professionally with guests, staff, suppliers, and partners

Experience & Qualifications

5 years' experience within the service industry
3 years in a significant restaurant management position; or comparable senior management experience
Level 3 Food Safety qualification (training and certification may be provided for exceptional candidates)
A degree in restaurant or hospitality management is preferable, not essential Strong working knowledge of health & safety and food safety standards
Experience in high-volume or event-driven environments is highly advantageous
