Seren Kids is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Manager to join our friendly energetic team in our Guildford location.

About the position:

Seren Kids is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Manager to join our team in our Guildford location.

About the Role:

- Operational oversight of the camps and afterschool clubs

- Leading our team of staff ensuring they are complying with all protocols, policies and procedures

- Create a safe and nurturing environment for all children and staff

- Responsible for all health and safety

- Being the Safeguarding lead or deputy Lead (this will be discussed)

- Ensuring our camps and clubs run as smoothly as possible and all children have an exceptional experience whilst with us

Duties Include:

Oversee day to day operations of camps and afterschool clubs.
Ensure the highest quality of care for all children.
Maintaining the highest standard of health and safety.
Undertake risk assessments and oversee daily set ups and reguar clean and tidy ups
Building outstanding relationships with our parents and carers along with any outside agencies.
Train and support staff, being a great mentor whilst ensuring staff are adhering to policies and procedures.
Maintaining accurate records of staff, children and families, including progress and safeguarding reports.
Leading staff along with children in group settings to provide support during a range of activities.
Regularly assessing the quality of care and education provided, identifying areas of improvement, and implementing changes to enhance the camp and after school clubs effectiveness
Completing all relevant training and courses needed for your role.
Perform activities to help develop teamwork, kindness, and resilience.
Provide emotional support through positive encouragement and peer support.
Provide educational support through instruction in a variety of learning styles and related challenges.
Participate in daily activities that promote fun and kindness through activities that include sport, art, drama, computing, coding, group indoor and outdoor games, and special events.

Qualifications

Experience in management of a childcare setting or similar environments
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and staff
Background in teaching, education, sports, childcare, youth work or similar environments
Previous roles working with children and in management
Demonstrated ability to provide fun, nurturing and support in a safe manner to children
Relevant certifications (childcare Level 3 or above is desirable unless you have previous childcare camp manager experience considered suitable to the role and organisation)
DBS certified or willing to undergo checks.
First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications desirable. However, this training can be provided to ensure you are compliant in your role.
Able to attend our Training days and attend an in person session and be observed around children prior to starting the role

Pay: £16.00-£20.00 per hour
