Full job description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to support patients and healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality care. The successful candidate will assist patients with daily living activities, monitor their well-being, maintain a clean and safe environment, and provide emotional support while ensuring dignity, privacy, and respect at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Assist patients with personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Support patients with mobility and safe transfers using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Assist with feeding and hydration where required.
Monitor and record patients' vital signs, observations, and changes in condition.
Report concerns or significant changes in patients' health to nursing staff or supervisors.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable care environment.
Assist in preparing patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures.
Support patients with social and emotional needs to promote well-being.
Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with organizational policies.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, confidentiality requirements, and professional standards.
Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, therapists, and other healthcare team members.

Qualifications and Requirements

Certificate, Diploma, or relevant qualification in Healthcare Assistance, Nursing Assistance, or a related field.
Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is desirable.
Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and infection control practices.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Physical ability to assist with patient mobility and daily care activities.
Basic computer and record-keeping skills.

Working Conditions

Registered Nurse, Senior Healthcare Assistant, Ward Manager, or Clinical Supervisor.

Salary

Competitive and commensurate with qualifications, experience, and organizational policies.

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour

Licence/Certification:

Valid UK RTW (required)
