Overview

Join a vibrant and welcoming coffee shop environment as a Coffee Shop Assistant! In this energetic role, you'll be the friendly face that greets customers, prepares delicious beverages, and ensures a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a warm atmosphere where customers feel valued and satisfied. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, customer interaction, and team collaboration while working in a lively setting.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently with a positive attitude
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards
Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, pastries, or snacks with precision and cleanliness
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all food handling processes
Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change using basic math skills
Keep the workspace clean, organized, and stocked by regularly checking supplies and cleaning equipment
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction at all times

Requirements

Prior coffee shop experience is required
Experience in shift running, opening and closing and leading staff is essential
Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices to ensure safe handling of food and beverages
Ability to serve customers efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment
Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
Experience with food preparation or serving is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly between stations, and work as part of a teamThis role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to build their expertise in hospitality while contributing to a lively community space.
