Role Overview

Position: Warehouse Supervisor

Working Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 11:00–20:00

This is a hands-on supervisory role within a small family-run logistics business. The Warehouse Supervisor will support the day-to-day running of warehouse operations, supervise warehouse staff, maintain stock flow and accuracy, assist with picking processes, and help ensure Health & Safety standards are upheld. The role requires a proactive, organised individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. The Warehouse Supervisor will report to the Operations Manager and work closely with transport and office teams.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise all inbound and outbound goods, including loading and unloading activities
Coordinate daily warehouse workflow and assist with dispatch manifests
Support and guide warehouse operatives, ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently
Maintain stock accuracy, storage layout, rotation, and traceability
Ensure warehouse cleanliness, hygiene standards, and safe working practices are maintained
Support Health & Safety compliance, including inspections, incident reporting, PPE checks, and following company procedures
Assist with staff rotas, holiday planning, and providing cover during absences
Support and oversee picking processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and customer deadlines are met
Liaise with office staff, transport teams, and drivers regarding operational priorities and load progress
Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and report suggestions to management
Provide hands-on support during busy periods, including picking, loading, and unloading activities

Skills & Attributes Required

Minimum 2 years' experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supervisory/team leader role
Strong organisational and time management skills
Experience supervising teams within a warehouse environment
Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
Effective communication skills with both warehouse and office teams
Physically capable of carrying out manual handling and working within a cold-store environment
Calm and solution-focused approach when working under pressure
Ability to support, motivate, and guide team members
Capable of managing priorities and working independently when required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £33,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
