Full job description

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff to join our team. We're looking for someone bubbly, self-motivated and dedicated to deliver exceptional customer service to all customers entering the premise.

All applicants who do not complete screening questions will be declined.

Previous bar experience is of benefit, but not required. Applicants MUST be over 18 years old as a legal requirement for this job. Due to the hours of work required, current school students are not suitable for this role. Applicant MUST be able to reliably and safely to commute to work after late close times (11pm-1am)

Weekend flexibility is requested.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and soft drinks, in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Adhere to food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines at all times.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders and maintain smooth communication during busy periods.
Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments.
Cater to function bookings
Monitor and maintain pool tables and pool table bookings

Desired skills:

Previous experience in a bartending role is preferred; a willingness to learn and develop skills further is key.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently to run the bar at both busy and off-peak times.
Knowledge of food safety practices and responsible alcohol service is advantageous.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.

This role will require evening and weekend work. 8 hour contract with plenty opportunity for overtime and additional shifts.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: £10.00-£13.00 per hour
