Join Street Teams and Help Change Lives

Street Teams is a specialist charity working to reduce exploitation and harms outside of the home. We support children, young people and families through early intervention, education, family support and targeted exploitation services.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, reliable and passionate Sessional Workers to support our growing programmes across Walsall and the surrounding areas.

This is an ideal opportunity for individuals with experience in youth work, family support, education, mentoring, social care, community work or related fields who want flexible work that makes a real difference.

What You Will Do

As an Exploitation & Youth Support Worker, you may be involved in:

Providing 1:1 early intervention support to children and young people.
Supporting children and young people who have been identified as being targeted for the purposes of exploitation.
Supporting parents and carers through advice, guidance and signposting.
Planning and delivering positive activities for children, young people and families.
Supporting the delivery of Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programmes.
Delivering educational and prevention sessions in schools and community settings.
Building positive relationships with children, young people and families.
Promoting wellbeing, resilience and positive outcomes.
Contributing to Street Teams' work in reducing exploitation and harms outside of the home.

Full training and ongoing support will be provided, including training relating to exploitation, safeguarding and trauma-informed practice.
