Fostering Panel Chair (Casual) - Ref: CH02126

Service Area: Fostering Service, Children’s Services
Location: Civic Centre and other council locations as required
Remuneration: £450 per panel
Reports to: Practice Improvement Manager (Fostering)

As an experienced leader with sound judgement and a passion for making a difference, this is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of children in care by upholding the highest standards in fostering practice. As Foster Panel Chair, you will lead critical discussions, guide robust decision-making, and help secure safe, supportive futures for vulnerable children.

In this role, you will chair fostering panel meetings, ensuring that all cases are considered rigorously, fairly, and in line with fostering regulations, statutory guidance, and council policies. You will play a key role in maintaining high safeguarding standards, promoting quality care, and ensuring all decisions are evidence-based and centred on the needs of children.
