With over 20 offices and depots in the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe, Blok ‘N’ Mesh is a market-leading manufacturer, supplier and installer of temporary fencing, site hoarding and barriers. Every year it manufactures more than 1.6 million units, leading the industry in both innovation and sustainability to suit a wide range of industries, from construction to security.

We are looking to recruit a Yard Operative to join our Kent Depot. You will be a key link to the depot by being responsible for processing instructions received from the Depot Supervisor in ensuring quality, safety, security, and minimising wastage.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Ensure all equipment loaded onto vehicles is correctly counted and have the appropriate documentation.
Ensure all work carried out at the depot and on site is done in the most efficient manner taking the company, customers and H & S regulations into consideration.
Ensure any defective plant and equipment are reported immediately.
Ensure all tasks and targets allocated by the depot manager and depot supervisor are completed accurately and within the timeframe allocated.
Cleaning and repairing our internal hoarding system.
Equipment must be cleaned to a very high standard, so the candidate must be energetic, target driven and take pride in completing a job with a high level of self quality control.
The candidate will deal with collections being returned and have to assess the quality and complete reports noting damages.

Essential Requirements:

Self-motivated
Show initiative to carry out tasks independently
Able to work as part of a team
Able to cope with the physical demands of the role
Understand the importance of deadlines
Willing to work outside in all weather conditions
Forklift experience is an advantage

Monday - Friday between the hours of 07:00 - 16:00
Based on a 45hr working week before overtime
