Overview
Due to expansion in our capacity and growth. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team ready for September 2026. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in early childhood education and childcare management to develop their skills within a supportive setting. The Nursery Practitioner will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and educational activities, ensuring the well-being and development of every child in their care.

Duties

Plan and implement engaging daily activities tailored to the developmental needs of children
Foster a warm, caring environment that promotes children's emotional and social development
Supervise children during play, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
Ensure health and safety procedures are strictly followed at all times
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
Support colleagues in maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment
Assist with administrative tasks related to childcare management when required
Drive children safely to and from outings or activities if necessary
Direct the operations of the team as a room leader

Qualifications

Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting
Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff and organise daily routines
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred
Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions with children and colleagues

Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour
