Full job description

Early Years Practitioner

Location: March, PE15 9NT
Pay: £12.71 – £13.00 per hour
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week | 3-4 days per week

This is a great opportunity to join a warm, experienced setting where children come first and where your work makes a meaningful difference every day.

Your Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a key role in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children feel confident and supported. Your responsibilities will include:

Creating a fun, safe, and stimulating setting where children can thrive
Planning and delivering play-based learning activities in line with the EYFS
Acting as a Key Person and building strong, positive relationships with children and families
Observing, recording, and supporting each child’s individual development
Supporting and encouraging junior team members
Working closely with Room Leaders and Heads of Unit to maintain high standards
Following all safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times

What We’re Looking For

Level 2 qualification or above in Early Years or Childcare (CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent)
At least 2 years’ experience in an early years setting
A good understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements
A caring, positive, and nurturing approach
Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset
DBS, Paediatric First Aid, and Safeguarding training, or willingness to obtain
