Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our pharmacy team as a Qualified Dispenser / Trainee Dispenser within the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Pathway. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in pharmacy operations, medication management, and patient care. The role involves supporting the dispensing process while working towards gaining recognised qualifications and practical experience in a professional healthcare environment.

Duties

Assist with the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions accurately and efficiently
Support medication administration processes under supervision
Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering advice within your scope of practice
Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and stock levels
Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and confidentiality standards at all times
Support inventory management, including stock checks and ordering supplies
Participate in training sessions and development programmes to progress through the apprenticeship pathway
Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and professionalism within the pharmacy setting

Qualifications

Prior pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of medication administration procedures is advantageous
Strong commitment to patient care and professional development
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Willingness to undertake further training and achieve Level 3 Pharmacy Technician qualification through the apprenticeship programme
