Workshop Operative

Salary: 40,000 42,000
Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Fenton (ST4)
Hours: 7:30 17:00, Monday to Friday
Interviewing: Immediately

Main Purpose of the Role

As a Workshop Operative, you will work within a busy workshop environment to maintain, service and repair Conquip OEM equipment efficiently. You will be instrumental in upholding safety, quality and operational standards across our hire fleet.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out repairs, servicing and setup of Conquip OEM equipment, primarily non-mechanical plant and machinery
Undertake basic MIG welding tasks as required
Spray paint equipment when necessary
Complete computer-based tasks including certification and documentation
Follow daily work schedules set by your line manager
Operate counterbalance forklifts and overhead cranes safely and efficiently
Conduct thorough inspections of lifting equipment and sign off in accordance with LOLER regulations
Maintain a professional and courteous approach when liaising with colleagues and site personnel
Adopt a flexible attitude towards working hours when required
Support the wider team with additional tasks as needed

Essential Skills

Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
Good planning and organisational skills
Welding Experience
Forklift experience (Can be Trained)
