Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tyre Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing tyres on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for vehicle maintenance and customer service to develop their skills within a professional environment. The position involves hands-on work requiring mechanical knowledge, the use of hand and power tools, and physical strength for heavy lifting tasks.

Responsibilities

Inspect tyres for damage, wear, and proper inflation levels
Remove and replace tyres using appropriate hand and power tools
Perform tyre balancing and alignment procedures as required
Conduct routine maintenance on tyre fitting equipment to ensure optimal operation
Assist customers with tyre-related enquiries, providing professional advice and excellent customer service
Maintain a clean and organised work area to adhere to safety standards
Document all work performed accurately in accordance with company procedures
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all tasks

Qualifications

Mechanical knowledge or experience in vehicle maintenance preferred
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in tyre fitting and repair
Experience with vehicle maintenance or tyre services is essential; we will be testing the candidate before hiring
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 25kg) and work in physically demanding environments
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Valid driving licence is desirable but not mandatory
