Full job description

Hours: 7 hour shifts (18:00-01:00), working on a 2 week rolling rota on a 2/2/3 working pattern. Week 1 – Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun / Week 2 – Wed, Thu. Including bank holidays.

Base: Chelmsford

Pro rata salary: £18,673.20 (£28,581.43 FTE Includes unsocial hours allowance of time and half paid for hours worked after midnight)

The Mid Essex Sanctuary provides essential emotional support via the phone as well as face to face to individuals referred to the service who are experiencing mental health crisis. Each call is different and we use active listening and distraction techniques as well as providing signposting to other services.

Working as part of our Sanctuary team, the Service Coordinator is responsible for leading the shift, allocating referrals from the NHS 111 service, administrative duties, and providing advice and guidance to our support workers. The Service Coordinator will also have their own caseload of service users to support, with differing presentations whose conditions may fluctuate in severity and complexity.

This is a varied, inspiring and rewarding role, promoting hope and support for good mental health in our community. If you have experience of supporting people through mental health crises/ challenges, are compassionate and are a natural leader we would love to hear from you.
