Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our educational team. The successful candidate will work closely with children, including those with special educational needs, to provide tailored support that fosters their academic and social development. This role offers an enriching opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners' lives within a supportive environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals passionate about education and specialised support.

Responsibilities

Assist teachers in implementing individualised education programmes for students with special needs, including those with autism and disabilities.
Support children during classroom activities, ensuring they are engaged and included.
Provide personalised assistance to children, including toddlers, to promote their learning and development.
Facilitate communication between students and staff, adapting strategies to meet diverse needs.
Help create a safe, nurturing environment that encourages positive behaviour and social interaction.
Support students with behavioural challenges by implementing behavioural management strategies under supervision.
Assist in organising and supervising activities during lessons, breaks, and specialised programmes.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour as required by the teaching team.

Requirements

Experience working with individuals with autism, disabilities or in special education settings is highly desirable.
Prior experience in teaching or supporting children, particularly within early years or toddler care, is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, colleagues, and parents.
A compassionate approach with patience and adaptability to meet individual student needs.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Relevant qualifications or training in special education or child development are preferred but not essential.
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and well-being is essential. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners through specialised support and care.

Pay: £18,867.00-£19,786.00 per year
