Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure the delivery of high-quality food, and maintain exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional with strong leadership skills to drive excellence in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Head Chef/Kitchen Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, managing food production and fostering a positive team atmosphere to deliver outstanding dining experiences.

Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation and presentation
Oversee all aspects of food production, from sourcing ingredients to final plating, ensuring consistency and quality
Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations
Develop innovative menus that cater to diverse customer preferences while maintaining cost efficiency
Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a cohesive team environment focused on professional development and excellent service delivery
Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including proper handling of food and equipment
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Monitor customer feedback to continuously improve culinary offerings and service standards

Experience

Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience in menu development and cost control measures
Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving procedures and guest relations
Previous experience in hospitality or catering roles is highly desirable
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
