Full job description

Job Summary

The Fox in Dowdeswell is the newest hospitality venue in Cheltenham. We are a Cotswold pub with rooms (coming A/W 2027), wellness area with treatment room, saunas and plunge pools. We are looking for an Event Coordinator to plan and run events.

You’ll be the person who turns a quiet Tuesday into something people want to come back for.

What you’ll do:

Plan, promote, and run regular and one-off events (music nights, sports screenings, private hire, holiday events, etc.)
Liaise with performers, suppliers, and customers booking private functions
Manage event budgets and work with the bar/kitchen team on staffing and stock for busy nights
Promote the events online and offline
Handle bookings, enquiries, and day-of logistics

What we’re looking for:

Experience in events, hospitality, or venue management (pub/bar experience a plus)
Great people skills — comfortable talking to customers, suppliers, and performers
Organised, able to juggle multiple events at once
Some flexibility with evenings/weekends, as that’s when most events happen
