Lead Photographer, On-Site Studio
Full-Time | Studio-Based with Occasional Location
We are looking for a Lead Photographer and Studio Manager to join our on-site team, producing high-quality food and lifestyle photography for a major frozen food client. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our client embedded studio operation, requiring a strong creative vision and the ability to deliver consistently across a varied and fast-paced production schedule.
The Role
As Lead Photographer, you will take ownership of the visual output from shoot through to final delivery. The role spans packaging photography, point of sale, social content and TV ad production, requiring someone who is equally at home lighting a complex stills set as they are producing short-form video content for social media. You will work closely with clients to interpret briefs, maintain consistency across existing ranges and develop the visual identity of new ones, all while leading and mentoring the junior members of the team.
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading studio-based shoots across a range of outputs including packaging photography, POS, social content and occasional location work
- Matching existing packaging photography and developing consistent visual standards for new product ranges
- Producing social content including both photography and video
- Lighting for stills and video across all production types, including TV ad shoots where you will work alongside the video crew handling lighting and capturing stills
- Managing client relationships day-to-day, from initial brief through to final sign-off
- Overseeing post-production in Capture One and Photoshop, maintaining a high standard across all deliverables
- Mentoring and supporting junior photographers and assistants on set and in day-to-day studio operations
What We Are Looking For
- 5 to 8 years of professional photography experience, with a strong food or product portfolio
- Demonstrable experience in packaging photography, including range matching and new range development
- Skilled in lighting for both stills and video, with experience on larger production shoots
- Confident producing social content across photography and short-form video formats
- Proficient in Capture One and Adobe Photoshop
- A confident, client-facing communicator with the ability to manage expectations and build lasting relationships
- A natural team leader with a collaborative approach
- Full UK Driving License
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
