Job Title: Cleaning Operative

Location: Eastgate Shopping Centre

Pay Rate: £12.94

Hours: 43.5 hours per week

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Cleaner to join our team within a busy shopping centre environment. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and enjoys working as part of a team to create a safe, welcoming, and pleasant environment for customers, retailers, and staff.

As a Shopping Centre Cleaner, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the centre are maintained to a high standard, including public areas, service areas, and facilities. You will play an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the centre by keeping the environment clean, tidy, and presentable.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout the shopping centre
Collect, sort, and dispose of waste correctly, including separating recyclable materials into designated recycling receptacles for collection
Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the service road and operational areas
Clean and maintain public toilet facilities to a high hygiene standard
Monitor and respond to cleaning requirements throughout the centre
Ensure cleaning tasks are completed safely and efficiently in line with company procedures
Maintain a clean and organised working environment
Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or concerns to the appropriate team members
Complete any other reasonable cleaning-related tasks as required

About You:

Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering excellent standards
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment
Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
