Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a calm demeanour, and the ability to handle challenging situations with confidence. This role involves monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, and implementing loss prevention measures to maintain a secure environment. All duties must be performed in accordance with relevant safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

Monitor entrances and exits to control access and prevent unauthorised entry
Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to observe activity within the premises
Maintain a visible presence to deter potential security threats and disorderly behaviour
Implement loss prevention strategies by identifying suspicious activity and preventing theft or vandalism
Respond promptly to incidents, including disputes or emergencies, ensuring the safety of all individuals present
Carry out first aid if required, providing assistance until emergency services arrive
Record detailed incident reports accurately and promptly as part of ongoing security documentation
Enforce venue policies in a professional manner while maintaining excellent customer service standards

Qualifications

Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence is essential
Experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is advantageous
Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring procedures is desirable
First aid certification is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary
Excellent communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
Strong observational skills with attention to detail
Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and assertively
Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods and respond swiftly when required
