Award-Winning Boutique Tearoom | Luxury Afternoon Tea Experience

We are a proud, family-run, award-winning boutique tearoom, renowned for our elegant afternoon teas, handcrafted cakes, and beautifully presented sweet and savoury creations. We’re now looking for a talented and reliable Out of Hours Baker to join our kitchen family and help prepare our signature bakes ahead of daily service.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a skilled baker who enjoys focused preparation time, takes pride in precision and presentation, and wants to play a vital role in delivering the exceptional food experience our guests love.

About the Role

As our Out of Hours Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking key items for our afternoon tea service, ensuring everything is ready to the highest standards for the day ahead.

Working hours will typically be 6:00am to 2:00pm, however flexibility is essential as hours may vary in line with the needs of the business, seasonal demand, and special events.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys early starts, works efficiently and independently, and takes pride in setting the kitchen up for a successful day of service.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and bake cakes, scones, traybakes, pastries, and other menu items
Follow recipes as requested to maintain consistency and quality
Ensure all products meet our high standards of presentation and flavour
Maintain strict food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards
Monitor stock levels of baking ingredients and communicate shortages
Ensure the kitchen is organised and fully prepared for the main team

About You

Proven experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef, or experienced Kitchen Baker
Passionate about high-quality, beautifully presented baked goods
Able to work independently and manage time effectively
Reliable, organised, detail-focused with good communication skills
Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
Takes pride in consistency and craftsmanship
Enthusiastic about being part of a warm, family-run luxury tearoom
