Assistant Manager | The Crown Inn, Church Enstone

At The Crown Inn, we believe great hospitality is uncomplicated. Good food, thoughtful service, comfortable rooms and a genuine welcome.

We're looking for an Assistant Manager to join our team—someone who cares about the details, enjoys looking after people and takes pride in running a busy service with warmth and professionalism.

The Crown is an award-winning country inn with a restaurant built around seasonal cooking, carefully sourced ingredients, a well-considered wine list and beautifully designed rooms. We welcome everyone from locals at the bar to guests travelling to stay with us, and we aim to make every visit feel effortless.

We're also part of a small and growing collection of independent pubs, offering the opportunity to build a long-term career with genuine progression as the business evolves.

The role

You'll work closely with the General Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the inn, leading service from the floor while supporting and developing the team.

We're looking for someone who understands that the best hospitality is attentive without being overbearing, confident without ego, and always generous.

We're looking for someone who:

Has experience in a quality restaurant, pub or boutique hotel.
Leads quietly and confidently by example.
Takes genuine pleasure in looking after guests.
Has an appreciation for good food, good wine and honest hospitality.
Is organised, calm and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Wants to be part of a business that values people as much as standards.
