We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care to our Children, team and home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in working with Children, and will play a pivotal role in supervising the team, managing operations, and ensuring the highest standards of care for our Children. This position requires a leader who can effectively support the management team while fostering a nurturing environment for everyone in your home.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the Censuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies.
- Supervise and support your team, providing guidance and leadership to ensure quality care delivery.
- Conduct regular assessments of health and well-being, implementing necessary changes to care plans as required.
- Foster a positive working environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff members.
- Handle administrative tasks related to staffing, scheduling, and training of new employees.
- Engage with Children and their families to address concerns and enhance their overall experience within the facility
- Work shift patterns that reflect the needs of children which will include day shifts, sleep shifts, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis
- Attend face to face quarterly managers meetings at our Head Office in Nottingham
Skills
- Proven experience in a senior role within a residential Children's home
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills as you may need to have meetings with outside organisations like social workers and School departments
- Level 3/4 Diploma and possibly working towards your level 5
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of care delivery.
- A compassionate approach towards caregiving with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents.
