Job Summary

Heaton House Care Home is looking for a kind, caring and reliable Care Assistant to join our friendly team.

As a Care Assistant, you will support our residents with their daily needs while helping them maintain their dignity, independence and quality of life. We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for caring for older people and can provide support with patience, respect and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

Support residents with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting.
Assist residents with mobility and daily activities.
Support residents during meals and with their nutrition and hydration needs.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Encourage residents to maintain their independence wherever possible.
Follow individual care plans and residents' personal preferences.
Complete care records and report any concerns or changes in residents' wellbeing.
Maintain residents' dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Work closely with other team members to provide a high standard of care.
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, infection control and care home procedures.

What We Are Looking For

A caring, patient and compassionate attitude.
Reliable and able to work well as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
A genuine interest in supporting older people.
Previous care experience is preferred but not essential.
Basic IT skills for completing care records.
Willingness to work shifts and weekends as required.

Job Details

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £13 per hour
Hours: 36 hours per week
Schedule: Day/Night shifts and weekend availability
